By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Legal Disclosures and Terms of Use. Please do not use the website if you do not agree with them.
AGF may revise these terms from time to time. Changes become effective when the updated terms are posted on this page. The effective date shown above indicates when the terms were most recently revised.
2. Entertainment and Informational Purposes Only
Content published on AGF is provided for entertainment, editorial, educational, and general informational purposes.
The information presented may include:

Although AGF makes reasonable efforts to provide useful information, we do not guarantee that any content is complete, current, accurate, suitable, or free from errors.
Vehicle configurations, trail conditions, laws, regulations, closures, manufacturer specifications, part availability, prices, technology, and other circumstances can change without notice.
Your mileage may vary. A product, technique, route, repair, modification, or approach that worked in one situation may not work in another.
AGF content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified mechanic, engineer, attorney, medical professional, land-management official, driving instructor, recovery professional, or other appropriately trained professional.
3. Assumption of Risk
Some activities shown or discussed on AGF involve substantial risks, including:
Off-road driving
Motorsports and high-performance driving
Vehicle recovery
Mechanical repairs and modifications
Working beneath or around vehicles
Welding and fabrication
Remote travel
Camping in wildlife habitat
Water crossings
Driving on snow, ice, mud, rocks, shelf roads, and steep terrain
Using radios, winches, recovery equipment, tools, and electrical systems
These activities can result in vehicle damage, equipment failure, environmental damage, civil or criminal liability, serious injury, or death.
You are solely responsible for evaluating your experience, physical condition, equipment, vehicle capability, weather, terrain, location, applicable laws, and other risks before participating in any activity.
Do not attempt an activity merely because it appears on this website. Obtain proper instruction, inspect your equipment, use appropriate safety gear, travel with capable people, and remain within your abilities.
Your use of AGF content and participation in any related activity are voluntary and at your own risk.
4. Lawful Driving and Filming Locations
Driving and off-road activities shown on AGF may have occurred at organized motorsports events, designated motorized routes, sanctioned facilities, public roads, public lands, or private property with permission.
The appearance of an activity on AGF does not mean that the same activity is lawful or safe in another location.
Never:
Drive recklessly on a public road
Exceed posted speed limits
Enter private property without permission
Bypass gates, signs, barriers, or closures
Operate a vehicle on a route closed to your vehicle class
Damage natural or cultural resources
Create unauthorized trails or campsites
Attempt a stunt or technical obstacle beyond your abilities
Drivers are responsible for obeying all traffic laws, land-use regulations, permit requirements, event rules, and lawful instructions from officials.
5. Trail, Map, GPS, and Public-Access Disclaimer
AGF trail pages, directories, archived maps, downloadable files, interactive maps, GPS tracks, route descriptions, access guides, and difficulty ratings are provided only as general planning resources.
They are not legal surveys, title reports, official travel-management decisions, or guarantees of public access.
A road, trail, track, easement, gate, or route appearing on a map does not automatically establish that the public has a legal right to use it.
Land ownership, public access, road status, easements, seasonal restrictions, fire restrictions, vehicle designations, travel-management rules, and closures may change without notice.
Before traveling, independently verify current information with the appropriate source, which may include:
The United States Forest Service
The Bureau of Land Management
State or county agencies
Tribal governments
Local law enforcement
Private landowners
Current Motor Vehicle Use Maps
Current travel plans, closure orders, and posted notices
Archived maps are historical reference materials and may no longer reflect current legal access or conditions.
GPS tracks and digital maps may contain errors, gaps, inaccurate coordinates, outdated data, or routes that are no longer open. GPS devices, phones, radios, batteries, downloaded maps, and navigation applications can fail.
Carry appropriate backup navigation, emergency supplies, and current official information. Never rely on AGF as your only navigation or emergency resource.
6. Trail Difficulty and Vehicle Capability
Trail classifications and difficulty descriptions are subjective.
Conditions can change rapidly because of weather, erosion, wildfire, snow, fallen trees, traffic, flooding, road maintenance, rock movement, vegetation, or other factors. A route previously described as easy may become impassable or dangerous.
Vehicle capability depends on many factors, including:
Driver judgment and experience
Vehicle size and wheelbase
Ground clearance
Tire condition and pressure
Four-wheel-drive systems
Locking differentials
Suspension and gearing
Vehicle weight
Recovery equipment
Weather and surface conditions
A trail rating does not guarantee that your vehicle can safely complete the route. You are responsible for deciding when to continue, turn around, or avoid a route entirely.
7. Weather, Wildfire, Road, and Emergency Information
Weather alerts, wildfire information, closure data, road conditions, and other feeds displayed or linked through AGF may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or supplied by third parties.
AGF is not an emergency-alert service and does not provide real-time dispatch, rescue, evacuation, or emergency assistance.
Always check current information directly with official agencies before departing and continue monitoring conditions during your trip.
In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services or local authorities. Do not use the AGF website or contact form to request emergency assistance.
8. Vehicle Modifications, Repairs, and Buyer Guides
Vehicle specifications, buyer guides, parts discussions, maintenance information, and modification descriptions are provided for general information and entertainment.
AGF does not guarantee:
Part compatibility
Installation accuracy
Torque specifications
Mechanical condition
Product availability
Vehicle history
Expected horsepower or performance
Emissions compliance
Warranty coverage
Insurance coverage
Highway legality
Safety or reliability
Always verify information using the applicable factory service manual, manufacturer instructions, current regulations, and a qualified automotive professional.
Modifications can alter steering, braking, handling, suspension geometry, drivetrain loads, crash performance, emissions, fuel economy, reliability, and insurance eligibility.
Working on a vehicle can expose you to heavy components, stored energy, hot fluids, chemicals, electricity, sharp surfaces, fire hazards, and unstable loads. Use proper tools, rated lifting equipment, protective equipment, and professional assistance.
AGF is not responsible for damage, injury, inspection failures, warranty issues, insurance issues, legal violations, or other losses arising from a repair, purchase, or modification decision.
9. Product Recommendations, Sponsors, and Affiliate Relationships
AGF may mention, review, photograph, link to, or recommend products, services, organizations, clubs, sponsors, and business partners.
Some relationships may involve:
Payment
Sponsorship
Advertising
Employment or professional relationships
Free or discounted products
Free or discounted services
Travel or event support
Referral fees or affiliate commissions
When a material relationship applies to a particular recommendation or endorsement, AGF will make reasonable efforts to disclose it near the relevant content.
Unless expressly stated, mentioning a brand does not mean that the brand sponsors, endorses, approves, or is affiliated with AGF.
Product opinions reflect personal experiences and opinions. They are not guarantees that another person will receive the same results.
Before purchasing or using a product, confirm current specifications, compatibility, instructions, warranties, recalls, and safety information with the manufacturer or seller.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
AGF may link to or embed content from third-party websites, mapping services, social platforms, government agencies, event organizers, online stores, payment processors, manufacturers, clubs, and other services.
These links are provided for convenience and information.
AGF does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their:
Accuracy or availability
Security
Products or services
Pricing
Shipping

A link does not automatically constitute an endorsement.
Your dealings with a third party are between you and that third party and are governed by its applicable terms and policies.
11. Store, Merchandise, Prints, and Fulfillment
Products offered through AGF may be produced, processed, shipped, or fulfilled by third-party vendors.
Product photographs and digital mockups are illustrative. Actual colors, placement, cropping, texture, sizing, and appearance may vary because of screens, materials, printing processes, production batches, and fulfillment providers.
Estimated production and shipping times are estimates rather than guarantees. Delays may occur because of weather, carrier disruptions, availability, production issues, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances beyond AGF’s reasonable control.
Applicable product-specific terms, return rules, fulfillment-provider terms, and policies shown during checkout are incorporated into these terms. When product-specific terms conflict with these general terms, the more specific checkout or product terms control.
Unless expressly licensed otherwise, the purchase of a photograph, print, digital file, or merchandise does not transfer copyright or grant commercial reproduction rights.
Photography services, event coverage, commissioned work, and commercial licensing may be governed by a separate written agreement. That agreement controls if it conflicts with this page.
Any statement that merchandise supports AGF activities refers to the amount remaining after applicable production, fulfillment, transaction, tax, refund, and shipping costs unless a different calculation is clearly stated.
12. Artificial Intelligence and Edited Media
AGF may use artificial-intelligence tools as part of its creative and administrative process.
AI tools may assist with:
Brainstorming and research organization
Drafting and editing written content
Graphic design
Illustrations
Concept art
Image cleanup or post-processing
Website code and layout development
AGF may also use traditional photographic editing, color correction, cropping, compositing, retouching, and other digital processes.
Documentary photographs, edited photographs, composites, AI-assisted images, and fully synthetic artwork are not necessarily the same type of media. When an image is materially fictional, synthetic, or altered in a way that could reasonably affect its interpretation, AGF will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate context.
AI-generated information may contain errors. Users should independently verify important technical, legal, safety, access, and mechanical information.
13. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise identified, original photographs, writing, videos, illustrations, graphics, logos, downloads, compilations, page designs, and other original materials on AGF are owned by Backcountry Adventure Time LLC, Aaron Thies, or the applicable credited creator and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Third-party photographs, maps, trademarks, logos, government materials, embedded content, and other licensed or referenced materials remain the property of their respective owners.
