Conquering the Montana Sky: 406 Cruisers in Cooke City 2024

Another year, another epic adventure with the 406 Cruisers! Our 2024 trip to Cooke City, Montana, was nothing short of legendary, filled with stunning scenery, incredible rigs, and unforgettable moments. This year felt extra special, a true testament to the Land Cruiser family.

An International Guest & His Unlikely Co-Pilot

One of the highlights was undoubtedly the arrival of an FJ45 Land Cruiser that drove all the way from Canada just to hang out with us! It wasn't just the vintage truck that was cool; it was driven by a wonderfully kooky old man who had his trusty Mexican rescue dog riding shotgun. They fit right in, proving that the Cruiser community truly knows no borders.

Highest Point in Montana: A Magazine Cover Moment

The real magic happened as we climbed higher, heading towards the highest point a 4x4 can reach in Montana. The views were breathtaking, and the lineup of rigs was iconic. Imagine this: a classic 60 series, a rugged 45 series, and a capable 80 series all in a row, ascending the dirt track, framed by an explosion of vibrant wildflowers.

Those were definite Money Shots, moments that absolutely belong on the cover of TLCA Trails Magazine. The sun, the mountains, the Cruisers, and those wildflowers—it was pure perfection.

The Spirit of 406 Cruisers

This trip reinforced what the 406 Cruisers are all about: pushing limits, helping each other out, and sharing an undeniable passion for these incredible machines. From the seasoned veterans to new faces, every member brings something unique to the trail.

The Cooke City trip reminded us that it’s not just about the destination; it’s about the journey, the people you share it with, and the stories you’ll tell for years to come.
